Seminar: What your Scandinavian business instincts won’t tell you about doing business in Indonesia

What your Scandinavian business instincts won’t tell you about doing business in Indonesia

The most common challenges in daily business rarely arise from legal or technical issues. They arise from people: expectations, communication styles, hierarchy, trust, and how decisions are made.

This seminar explores the human and cultural dimensions of doing business in Indonesia — the aspects that are rarely written down but often determine whether partnerships succeed or stall. Through practical experiences and open discussion, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how Indonesian counterparts interpret communication, leadership, and intent, and how Scandinavian business habits may sometimes create unintended friction.

The program features insights from experienced business leaders who have worked a long time in Indonesia, as well as the Indonesian side of the table.

The seminar is designed for Swedish and Scandinavian executives, managers, and professionals working with Indonesian partners or teams, as well as executives seeking a deeper understanding of the local business environment.

The afternoon session will consist of short, experience-based talks followed by discussion and networking drinks.
