The Sweden Chamber of Commerce Indonesia invites members and non-members to a webinar on the regulatory status of halal certification for products exported to Indonesia.
From 17 October 2026, halal certification is mandatory for a wide range of imported products sold in Indonesia. The webinar covers where the regulation stands after the deadline, with a focus on food ingredients, cosmetics and medical devices.
In August 2026, Scandinavian Halal Certification AB (SHC Sweden) in Stockholm signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement with BPJPH, Indonesia’s halal regulator. That makes it the first Sweden-based body whose certificates BPJPH recognizes. SHC Sweden will explain how certification in Sweden works in practice. Dr. Putro, Strategic Advisor to SwedCham Indonesia, will cover implementation and enforcement on the Indonesian side.
